RockeTruck is developing two families of power converter products, both receiving financial and technical support from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). One product line, supporting power conversion for solar power systems and microgrids, is being funded by the DOE’s Solar Technologies Office, and the other, aimed at converting fuel cell power for use in heavy-duty vehicles, is being funded by the DOE’s Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office. RockeTruck’s new converter products, to be commercially available in 2025, will use wide bandgap semiconductors, advanced converter topologies, and common manufacturing approaches to improve power conversion efficiency and reduce costs.
